In yesterdays class Abby shared a framework to show how to map out where you are on reaching goals that you set for yourself and how we moved since we started. You are to juxtapose two qualities that you think are somwhat opposite on a greyscale and then position yourself in between at the given moments. We had to define where on these scales we were at the midterm presentations, where we are today and where our goal is.
These are my three scales.
M = Midterm; STAR = Goal; T = Today
This thesis will focusing on millennials, and I am arguing that millennials (gen x and gen y) do not know how to handle hardship. They (we) are the first generation to not have a memory of any hardships. We have had a “easy” life, and so has our parents. When these generations now are facing crisis of all sorts, they’re unable to move forward and instead feel small and move the responsibility of change onto someone else. My discursive set of instructions this week was therefore a comment on all the negative information that society is being fed, and our inability to handle it.

This is Sophie the Giraffe.
The famous giraffe ‘Sophie’, in natural rubber (phthalate-free), who has been part of babies’ lives for over 50 years. She is made for Newborn+s and is slender, flexible, and soft, baby can squeeze and chew her in complete safety. It is lovable and amusing, she laughs when her body is squeezed. It is 17 cm tall and supplied in standard capsule packaging.
I would be interested in time lifespan of product as a goal. One functional unit could be how many minutes of attention it gets per squeak and degradation of aesthetics from chews.
